    The plot seemed pushed/strained. I guess, for a children's novel it was okay, but personally I liked the first book best. "Cryptid Hunters" remains solidly in my top 10 favorite books of all time. I read the second book, "Tentacles", when I was in high school. Only last week did I finally buy "Chupacabra." A great third edition to the series.

I couldn't put it down. I also ordered "Mutation", the final book in the series and look forward to reading it soon/5(87). Chupacabra is the next book in Mr. Smiths series about cryptids (Book 1 is Cryptid Hunters and Book 2 is Tentacles).

Whats a cryptid. you ask. Well maybe you didnt, but Im going to tell you. Crypids are creatures that are reported to exist, but it hasnt been proven /5().
